Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine (MSU-CVM) has been offering Veterinary Camp since 2011. Modeled after the first and second year student experience, our curriculum is heavily hands on and is taught by our own faculty, with DVM students serving as counselors and leaders. After that first year, camp grew in the number of students we could serve, the number and types of camps we offered, and the labs and activities we provided. We are proud of the 100% satisfaction rate and willingness to recommend our camp reported by campers, parents, and our own faculty. We love sharing the veterinary profession with young people. Usually we open up summer camp applications in late January and keep them open through mid-March. Applicants are notified in April whether or not they have been accepted.

This camp is wonderful. Lots of hands on and truly enthusiastic staff! My daughter has been twice to the day camp, and loved every minute.
