The Become a Vet Camp Contest Starts Next Month!

Things are beginning to open up all across the country. Now is the time to start planning for a summer full of exciting animal and veterinary volunteer experiences. Don’t know where to begin? Let us give you a suggestion. Enter the Vet Set Go Become a Veterinarian Camp Contest! Grand Prize Winners receive a scholarship to the Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine Junior VET Camp this summer.

The Auburn Junior Vet Camp is one of the premier veterinary camps in the United States. Campers learn from Auburns faculty and veterinary students and get hands on experience with all kinds of animals. Camp participants will experience campus-life while residing in Auburn's resident dormitories, eating at campus dining facilities, and enjoying evening social and recreational activities. This camp will be held June 26th – July 1st in Auburn, AL.

Get ready, the contest starts March 1st

The contest will be open to students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in the fall of 2022. We are so grateful to our supporters Merck Animal Health and VCA Animal Hospitals for making this all possible.

To enter, we will ask you to tell us your story in 300 words or less. Just share your personal story on why you want to become a veterinarian and what you have done so far to explore your dream. You can tell us:

• Why you want to become a veterinarian
• What you have done to get animal experience
• What you have done to help animals
• What you have done to learn explore the science of animals
• What you have done to learn more about veterinarians

Share whatever you want. We’ll also want to see a photo with you helping animals or simply enjoying time with your favorite pet or animal friend.
